Along with our first snow, yesterday was also filled with another first, the first night over at our new house! Until yesterday most of our things were either in the POD or at our apartment and the house was still fairly dirty with haphazard painting supplies all over the place. However, now that Greg is done with school he was able to spend the whole day cleaning in preparation for our first night as official residents of our home. After some unpacking and settling in we ate our first meal in the house (quesadillas and mozarella sticks!) and set up shop.
It was comfortable despite minor paint fumes in the bathroom, but having a bigger house made us realize that it was much harder to keep warm! Our little apartment heated up pretty fast and stayed that way but I think Greg might have to start selling some blood in order for us to pay to heat the house for the winter! Despite waking up several times during the night and finally resorting to sleeping with my robe on top of my PJs in the fetal position completely under the blankets to keep warm, it was a lovely night.
Tonight we'll do some more unpacking and perhaps even make it to unpacking the POD. And I have definitely learned my lesson and will start sleeping in a parka!
Yay for portable heaters! :D You should get one. They'll keep you warm in whatever room you happen to be in... and save Greg some blood. :P
