One of the perks in being married to a very important employee of the President's Office is the opportunity to "run shoulders" with some important people in the life of the seminary. One such occurrence took place last Tuesday night during Southern's Heritage Week. Typically, the trustees of the seminary along with the Foundation Board gather together on Tuesday night of Heritage Week for a banquet-style meal. This year was no different -- well, sort of.
Since it was a little less than a week away from Dr. Mohler's 50th birthday some of Dr. Mohler's best friends from the seminary decided to throw him a little party complete with delicious food, a video "tribute" and a panel. The theme of the night? "Roasting" or embarrassing Dr. Mohler with anecdotes and stories from his past.
The best part of it all -- Cami took me as her guest! What a privilege to be a part of that historic celebration!
