Week in Review

I can't believe we've been in Louisville for over a week now!! It was a week ago at about 3pm in the afternoon that we pulled into Camden Meadows for the very first time. The best way to describe our moving experience is -- we have been supported entirely by the grace of God!

Anyways, this week has been chock full of great experiences! Here's a quick recap of some of the highlights:

~ Friday (Aug 14th): Orientation for Southern Seminary [Oby, Cami and I all got to meet President/Dr. Albert Mohler].

~ Saturday (Aug 15th): Eating real Kentucky Fried Chicken [. . . which included smuggling some in to Colonel Sanders' grave!] And after that, a visit to the Louisville Slugger Museum.

~ Sunday (Aug 16th): Church at Sojourn and lunch at White Castle.

~ Monday (Aug 17th): Final goodbyes to Mr. Oby Lee -- our travel partner, photographer and endless source of entertainment for over a week!

~ Tuesday (Aug 18th): First day of seminary classes, followed by an unexpected dinner invitation from some new friends (who happen to be fellow Californians).

That basically brings us through the "exciting" part of this past week. Other than those highlights, Cami has been taking care of things around the house and tying up some loose ends in regards to our move. She has also signed up for her first Seminary Wives Institute Class -- Biblical Counseling with Dr. & Mrs. Stuart Scott. I've been studying for class (primarily Elementary Hebrew). And we've both been getting ready to go back to California for the weekend. In fact, Cami just texted me that she has landed in San Diego, CA where I will be joining her tomorrow evening to attend Patricia and Adam's wedding on Saturday. With that. . . it is time to go to sleep! Class tomorrow morning, reading in the afternoon and then I'm off to SoCal -- one last time in Cali before Christmas break!

  1. dang, Albert Mohler looks abnormally large in that picture. Awesome blog! keep up the updates. Annice and I will probably try to do something like this for Japan too. I know you guys will have limited time in SD, but if you have any time at all don't hesitate to call.
